our stories
Rolando enjoys spending time outside and being active. He likes to ride his bike and play basketball.
He's a very happy person who has an extroverted personality. He likes to make people laugh.
Marvin is the youngest among 4 siblings. He likes everything about ELC West, but he loves REC the most. His long term goal is to be able to be on his own place and live independent like normal adults do. He gets full force support from his team in school with Veronica “Ronnie” (Case Manager), Venessa (School Nurse) and Shawna (Social Worker) who work together to make sure he gets the best possible outcome especially when he has rough days in school. They are truly doing an amazing job to me and my son. We are looking forward for Marvin’s graduation in May 2026.
-Interests: Loves to make new friends and form connections with people of all abilities. She loves to go swimming and will spend hours in the pool floating, splashing and relaxing. She also enjoys bowling, watching movies as well as spending time with her family.
-Favorite Part of ELC West: Enjoys going on trips into the community to volunteer, shop, or do other recreation activities. This is such a great way for her to be integrated into the community.
-Future Goals: Continuing to make progress with typical daily living skills as well as vocational skills so she can be as independent as possible as a young adult.
